Forest Therapy Practitioner
Orlando, FL

Finding peace of mind in the outdoors comes naturally to William. An avid outdoorsman for over five decades, he is at ease among the forests and rivers of Central Florida. Helping people find peace among the trees is what he does best.

William grew up in Tyler, Texas and spent many days and nights in the piney woods and post oak plains around there, honing his understanding of the outdoors. From camping to hunting and fishing, he would always find a way to get away to the woods.

He got his BS in Ag Education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Just forty-eight hours after he graduated, he was back on the farm nurturing his blueberries, sweet onions and mother cows. When he moved to Orlando, he traded hunting and fishing for a camera and peace of mind. He quickly put his outdoor experience to work, exploring the hammocks and waterways of the area. He is a passionate kayaker and hiker and is constantly looking for new spaces in the woods to explore and to just “be.”

When William is not in the woods or on the water, he manages the Commodity Roundtable, an informal share-group of CEOs and Executive Directors who come together to solve issues facing their respective agriculture research and promotion boards.  In addition, he helps farmers build unified marketing and research plans. William is also a founding member of the Orlando Story Club and board member of ArtReach Orlando.

He is certain that connecting people with nature through Forest Therapy makes us all better humans.

William is certified with basic First Aid and CPR training.
